Privacy notice

This notice relates to RIQARO, a product operated by WebResenje PR, and to its website riqaro.com. It explains how personal data is handled on the website and in the early-access programme before the RIQARO product launches. A separate notice will cover the product itself.

Who is responsible

WebResenje PR is the controller of the personal data processed through the RIQARO website and early-access programme. RIQARO is the product and brand name, not a separate legal entity. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean WebResenje PR.

Early-access list

When you join early access, we store:

  • your email address;
  • the version of the consent text you agreed to, and when;
  • when you signed up, on which page, and in which language (Dutch or English);
  • the country your internet connection came from at signup (country level only, see “Language and country” below);
  • campaign tags (UTM source, medium and campaign) if the link you followed had them, and the domain of the website that referred you, if any;
  • your country of residence and main interest, only if you choose to give them.

Why: to send you launch updates and your early-access invitation in your language, and to understand which countries and topics to prioritise. Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us; this does not affect earlier processing.

How long: until you unsubscribe or until the early-access programme ends, whichever comes first. We then delete or anonymise the data.

Deleted data can remain in our secured database backups until those backups expire (about 14 days on the server and about 30 days in off-site backup storage). Backups are not used to restore deleted data for other purposes.

We do not store your IP address with your signup. To prevent abuse, requests are rate-limited using a short-lived, one-way hashed form of the IP address that is kept only in memory.

Language and country

When you open riqaro.com without choosing a language, our server looks up the country of your IP address in a database stored on our own server, to choose Dutch for visitors in the Netherlands and English for everyone else. No external service is contacted, only the country is determined, and neither your IP address nor the result is stored for this purpose. You can always switch language; your choice is then remembered in a cookie (see the cookie notice).

Website use

Our servers process technical data needed to deliver the website securely, such as IP address, browser type and requested pages. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising trackers.

We do not currently collect website statistics. If we introduce them, we will update this notice first.

Where data is processed

This website and its database are hosted in the European Union. We do not sell personal data.

Email is sent through Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States, which processes email addresses and message content on our behalf. When someone joins the early-access list, Resend delivers an internal notification to our own mailbox with the email address, language, country of connection, sign-up page, campaign tags and time of the signup. These emails contain no tracking pixels.

Resend stores data in the United States. Resend states that such transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses in its data processing addendum and by its participation in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Our website, database and server logs run on a virtual server rented from a hosting provider in the European Union. Encrypted database backups are stored with Scaleway (object storage in the European Union). Emails sent to our riqaro.com addresses are received by our email hosting provider.

Server security logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) are used only to keep the website running and secure, and are kept for a short period.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing, or a copy of your data, and you can object to processing. Email privacy@riqaro.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work (in the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If we change this notice, we update the date above. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will tell you first.
